For a book project I'm working on. 30 illustrations based on or inspired by Little Red Riding Hood. I'm hoping to have 15 done August when the booths for Emerald City Comic Con go on sale. I really liked the original piece before I colored it. I like the colored version as well, but am not sure if it's just me. I have a hard time judging my own art.

What did you use to do the original drawing?
i do love the coloured version, as well as the original - but i find, as with a lot of colour-over-pencils that the main difference was that your contrast setup changed and you lost the nice popping around the main eye that was there before. Always a hard thing to juggle.
Both are awesome and id totally 'hit it'. :)
Better and better! This might be my all time favorite from you. I can't get enough of your recent stuff.
(btw you should upload your images to blogger...these took a long time to load and I see they're hosted on your own webspace)
Doug, the colored version is beautiful. Keep going with this approach.
