A Still Life Painting_Cherry

These cherries dropped in the yard this morning.
I taped it on a canvas and painted this.
Since I try to mimic the traditional way which I will do with oil painting, I did this one with two brushes, two layers(Cherries and Background color), and eyeball to select color without UNDO in Photoshop.

Here is 1:1 Cropped from Original Painting.
First time try to paint this kind of subjects in digital. Had fun time.

You assign yourself some really interesting challenges. The digital brushwork and use of light on this one are great.

There are cherries already on trees around here? Weird!

I didn't know it was a cherry tree, until I saw the blossom.
It is different than the cherries we eat.
It is not round and the color is not that saturate.
Post some pictures next time to see if anyone know which type of cherry tree is it?

Amazing. I though it was traditional medium painting at first. Great idea with the no undos...

look forward to the next one.
